Skelte Siweris Braaksma is een Friese striptekenaar, illustrator en ontwerper. Hij publiceerde tot nu toe 10 graphic novels, de meeste daarvan in de Friese minderheidstaal. Zijn onderwerpen zijn onder meer (Friese) historie, sci-fi, fantasie en post-apocalypse.

In 2017 richtte hij zijn eenmansbedrijf Striplân op (land van strips), met het doel om van Fryslân een stripland te maken zoals België, Frankrijk of Japan. In 2019 richtte hij met andere noordelijke stripmakers collectief De Noorderlingen op.

Skelte is open voor commissies, hij doet strips, illustraties, portretten, grafisch design, workshops (ook op scholen) en meer.

About me

Skelte Siweris Braaksma is a Frisian comic artist, illustrator and designer. He published 10 graphic novels so far, most of them in the Frisian minority language from the Netherlands. His topics include but are not limited to (Frisian) history, sfi-fi, fantasy and post-apocalypse.

In 2017 he founded his one-man company called Striplân (land of comics), with the goal of transforming Frisia into a land of comics like Belgium, France or Japan. In 2019 he and other northern (comic) artists founded a collective called De Noorderlingen.

Skelte is open for commissions, he does comics, illustrations, portraits, graphic design, workshops (at schools also) and more.
